General Overview of Jaipur - the Pink City of India

Jaipur, the largest and capital of Indian state of Rajasthan, is one of the most important cities and tourist destinations in the country. Founded in 1727 by the Rajput ruler Maharaja Jai Singh II (the ruler of Amer), the city is also known as the Pink City of India due to dominant pink colour scheme of its most houses and buildings.
